    Any LSx will fit.

Some require a few harness changes.

What about the computer?? Or will a tune just have to obviously been done??

What are the differences between the LSX's?? As far as HP and so on.

No offense, but with as many as there are, I am not going to type it all out.
I have an LQ9 (truck block) in my car. Stock computer, stock sensors.

Unless you need some crazy fuel management, the stock computer will need a tune and that should do it.

Wikipedia has some general information on the LS engines. Just type "GM LS engines" into the Wikipedia search engine.

The differences in the stock lsx motor power wise is that they range from about 280 hp to over 500 hp, actually over 600 if you count the new ZR1 vette.

Most of the LSx motors will pass emissions testing in stock form.

As far as I know, the headers all bolt up the same to any of the heads. Although to be honest, I haven't researched all the newer versions.

hmm since its kinda simular to what i was gonna ask in another thread anyways. What would be involved in swapping an LSx motor (probably a 2) into a 97 LT1 car (keep in mind its obd2 so it has the correct diag. port) A4 transmission? my list so far goes harness, bell housing, tourque converter and headers/y-pipe

^ same here. would be much cheaper. plus imo ls1 front looks much better.

as far as engines, i wouldnt be surprised if you could fit a bugatti engine in the car. our engine bays are huge.

Wow, you think 4th gen engine bays are huge? No offense, but how many engine bays have you seen? 4th gen engine bays are tiny compared to older muscle cars. I guess you haven't seen a veyron's engine? That thing is massive.

Hell even compare it to a current GTO.. you can practically have a party in the GTOs bay.. ours.. if you can get your hands down to TOUCH your spark plugs you're talented..

Yeah....a small block LSx is a VERY tight fit in our cars.
And the LSx is fairly small.

Yeah, I forgot about the GTO's. Try reaching # 7 or 8 spark plugs to change them, its insane. I can have all 8 of the spark plugs changed on my '71 Cuda in the time it takes to change on of the rear plugs on my Trans Am, I really hate working on it.

Its almost to the point that it would be faster to pull the engine to do a tune up..

Got an LS7/L92 heads combo here. Stock PCM. Just need to get the 98-02 LS1 reluctor wheel to make it work. And a few extension harnesses.
