engine clicking noise

I found a 99 trans am for about $5500, he says he hasnt had an engine estimate, but says there is a clicking noise coming from the engine (or around it Im not sure). He says it started out soft and then got louder and now stays consistent. It has 130k, its auto and the only mods to the engine are an SLP air lid and a K&N airfilter. Any ideas to what it could be? Or is it not even worth looking at? Ive been searching around for a trans ams alot and i figured u guys could help me out since idk lot about these cars. Thanks again.

Bent pushrod or spun bearing.

Lifter maybe.. They are somewhat cheap to get fixed hopefully

offer him $3k and fix it that is if the car is in good shape

Idk if he would go for that but i could try. If he doesnt know much about cars. Ik he has a raised 4in hood on it, exhaust, and breathless headlights.

Bent pushrod or spun bearing.

How much would it be to fix a spun bearing? granted it didnt mess up anything else?

if he wants full price tell him to have i fixed first or
take the 3k make sure to have cash to show these cars arent hard to find so make sure to get a good deal

Ill give him a call tom, maybe i can get a look at it later. The kbb value would be around 6 for the car right now so maybe i can try to get 3 for it and find out whats really wrong with the engine.
