    Ok,

This is not my area of knowing what the hell i
    am talking about!

I will try and get a look tomorrow but i reckon i will be
calling a good local auto electrician i know and has been
    helpful in the past.

I agree with Tim. Could be a bad door switch causing the issues.

Thanks for the further input guys!

Now.... Just been speaking to the auto electrician I trust
and ran the "problem door switch" scenario by him and he said "maybe" but he also said
that if it is not he would be in the dark a bit as he has only ever worked on One
    previous Trans Am... Mine!!

So... would anybody have any wiring diagrams for the interior lighting circuits and
the locking circuits for the central locking that they could post? Matt says this would be
a godsend and be enormously helpful in trying to fix the problem.

I am hoping to god this is a simpler fix than a BCM issue as this would be a massive
PITA to pursue if I need a replacement! Even then I would be clutching at straws not
really knowing if a replacement would solve the problem!

    Thanks guys....

    Jeff....

    All duly received and printed!

Auto electrician is coming out on Thursday
to hopefully put it right and not fleece me
    for the privilege?!

    Thanks again

Our SUV was doing this and it was a faulty door latch. We sprayed some lithium grease in it and it resolved the issue. Then a few years later, it started happening again on a different door. Grease didn't fix that one, so we unplugged the sensor inside the door. Good luck!

Just got chance to have a fiddle and....

after scraping and cleaning the little contacts in the door switches on the
    lock it made no difference!

I still have:- courtesy light fuse in = working central locking and alarm but
permanently on interior lighting on both rear roof light and mirror lights

Fuse out = no lights at all and screwy central locking and still able to open
the doors after the "beep beep".

With the fuse out i have a regular 10 second click from the BCM relay and with the fuse in
i have no click from the relay. Not really any further advanced so i hope the electrical guy
    on Monday can help!!!!!!!!!

As this is not a PCM problem... I suppose driving the car is not a problem as it starts and
runs fine. Just have these funky issues?!

So long as the security system isn't corrupted it should not affect how your car runs in any manner.

    man alive....

What a pain this has all been....

.... But it is all fixed and no need for any chasing down of
    a replacement BCM or anything!

I must admit he was here for a while and i never paid a lot
of attention to what he was doing. He was probing this and probing that
and referring to the wiring schematics (thanks Jeff!) which he said was a real
boon to have as he would have struggled otherwise.

Just glad it's done and i can button up the passenger side of the dash and be done
with it!! I really don't want to go through the hell of trying to pry the BCM out
from it's cage again in the future if the need should arise so i will get that stuffed
up under the panel and secured enough to avoid clicking it back in place. If you
should ever need to do this job you will understand what i mean!!!!!!

Thanks guys for all of the suggestions!

    Well Tim,

I am no sparky but he figured it was a wire in the loom
which went into the BCM. He was testing all of the circuits
for the interior lights and locks and all passed muster apart from
one wire which was apparently not seated properly!? Must have
been an interior light wire of some sort but I dunno.........

Bottom line is though , all is fine now!

Onto the Strut brace I am making. I know where I am with that!!!
