    Dyno Numbers

Got the basic tune up and maintenence done on the car last night and had it put on the dyno. It put down 307 rwhp and 329 rwtq does that seem right and this was on 89 octane? Its a stock 2000 Firehawk M6

    Thanks

Yep those are good normal baseline numbers, maybe even a few hp higher than normal for a '00 since it has the LS1 manifold. Now start modding!!!

Put in 93, should be nothing but the best for the LS1

You would have most likely had some light knock running 89 octane. This may or may not have pulled a little timing.

    Chart???

Yeah I know I normally run 93 in it but since I was driving it over 200 miles one way and knew I wouldnt be in it I put 89 in and yes it did start to knock at the very top. The dyno was last minute just to see what it would put down, and the mods will start as soon as I save up some money, goin to start with a Lid and exhaust and the free mods. I will post the chart once I figure out how to. I have the graph on a disk but its in a .drf file and Im not sure what I have to get to open that.

go to photobucket.com. You can upload all of your images from there, and use the URL like to link them to the site. Man I miss 93 Octane. California sucks!! It only has 91.

its some weird .drf file. Ive never seen it before so I have no idea how to get it off my disk I have. photobucket wont support it. It was done on a dyno jet if that helps at all.

Pretty good. Anyone know why our curves kind of get wavy in the higher RPM range??

I assumed it come from not having the 93 octane fuel in it. Is that normal on these cars? Also I think my clutch my be starting to go. It loses pedal pressure but still grabs hard, there is just no pressure to it.
