    Talking dyno numbers in

Well I got the car dynoed finally. Went with a local club for $28. The shop uses a Dynapack dyno.

    294.8hp
    340.8b/ft

The garage was about 90* and humid. The car is mostly stock, just lid, filter and muffler. Has a little over 77k on it.

What you think about the numbers? I'm happy with them, wished i was over 300hp, but 294 is close. The torque number surprises me though. All 3 runs were close, each run getting better, so I'm not sure if there was a mistake made or something to cause such a high tq number? The only mods besides the above is 3.73 gears, and they put that into the computer before the runs.

    The car is a '01 WS6 auto.

Overall though I'm pretty happy, for 28 bucks i couldnt be disappointed. And the sound of my car at 5000rpms when I was standing behind it was awesome.

WTF, you have an 01 WS6, bone stock with no mods you should have put down 315-325 and more like 325. with your mods you should have put out at least 335, just my opinion WTF do I know.

Hmm. I just talked to this other guy who was there who got it dynoed and he said that his car was almost exactly 20hp lower than what it was on normal roller dyno(mustang dyno I think he said).

For those who dont know. The Dynopack is the one that bolts directly to the hubs. I guess its more related to a engine dyno since it uses hydralic pressure to simulate load. Or something like that, honestly I dont remember what he had said about it.

I did a quick search online and found that a couple people have said dynapacks are about 10-12% lower than a dynojet. So again, IDK.

I guess I may have to just get it done at Katech and see what comes from that.

I had mine done on a Dynapack and Turned out some nice numbers. As far as the Numbers you posted, A4, high humidity and heat, 294 sounds about right. Most guys with M6's and Dyno in 70 degree weather put about 300 rwhp

In the end you have 340.5b/ft of torque.thats pritty good. only chicks care about horse power anyway.
Like the saying goes."Horse power sells the car ,but torque wins the race."

I thought taller gears makes you lose HP on a dyno ?
