    Door panel tops cracking

Hey guys, im new here. I just bought a Red 1999 WS6 Ram Air Trans Am.

Both of my door panels have a little vertical crack forming on the top part and I was wondering if there is a webpage explaining how to prevent them from cracking any furthur.

    Thanks!!!

It seems to be a common problem w/ the TA's. Alot of people have that happen to them, my drivers side door has a crack in it. I've heard a bunch of different excuses as to why it happens, some say you shut your door by pushing the window, some blame it on the hot/cold weather conditions it could be anything. Some people get lucky and they dont crack at all..I dont know how to stop it. Mine hasnt been growing though, it stays at like an inch or so long and it stopped.

There is this small piece of plastic underneath it that it rests on. Its about a centimeter wide at most. Thats the cause but the pressure (as said before) comes from pushing on the windows or cold weather.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

ever notice when your window goes all the way down the panel buckles out a bit? i'm sure that has something to do with it.

Yep, I got em too. I think it's the temp change that does it here. Mine seem to have stopped at about an inch. I might try to fill it in with something, like JB weld and then color it black.

they crack right where they're not supported. All along the top its like an "L". There is like a 1 inch section where that support stops and looks like "|", it cracks right at this point. I epoxied my pass side which had a small crack starting and my drivers side before it started cracking. Seems like a shitty design that could have been avoided had they had a little common sense

My car is perfect, except for these cracks. I figured, I'd wait till they finish cracking, then I'll attempt to fix them somehow ?
