    Door hinge replacement '02

Is it possible to install a lower door hinge without aligning it while the door is shut. I have removed them thru the fender well with ease, just never installed them.

According to the factory service manual (page 8-860 to 8-863) as long as you marked the position of the hinges when you removed them, installation is simple. Install hinges to the body side first, then position and support the door at the correct height, thread the wiring and wiring grommet into the door. Attach the door and tighten the upper nuts and lower bolts to 37 lb ft. The manual does note that you should remove the spring from the bottom hinge before attaching the door. I don't know how hard it would be to install with the spring in place but I"m sure it would be easier without fighting it. You may be able to find the correct spring removal tool (J36604) at an auto parts store that has a tool loan program.
