sanded mine with 600, 1000, 2000 and then swirl and haze remover followed by polish and then wax ... lol, too many steps, but it looks awesome! Also did the same to take the faded factory decal/lettering off the panel between the tail lights and it looks perfect; well, except for a slightly milky looking area in the factory plastic that can be seen if you're really close. Will probably do it to my taillights when I get a chance 'cos there's some overspray on there.
Tested this procedure on the wife's Focus first (did the headlights) and they went from yellow/scratched to brand new looking.Last edited by That Guy 2-1; 09-21-2010 at 06:29 PM.

silver- 2000 formula
i used regular turtle wax scratch remover from wally world......lots of elbow grease and it was brand new

I have NiteShades on mine. Starting to fade a touch after 5-6 years.
I treat my headlights/plastic lens like I treat my paint. Polish, sealant with the portercable. Somehow this works well for the Grand Am's lens.

Very very sad day, I remember when I first saw vids of this car when I was always on the hideout. But hopefully the next owner will take just as good a care of it as you have!!!
