Discovered something today
I was just going through my draw today looking for something, when i saw the folder i had made for my car. I keep all document in it and the document of the things the previous owner did. Ex: any accidents, major repairs, trans rebuild etc... So i was just looking through it when i came across a sheet of paper that said "Moser Engineering" I flydownstairs and go to my car. I look under it, but find out the differntial cover only has 10 bolts in it? But the paper said the previous owner bought something from them costing $2200 in parts only. For some reason the paper is a bit moist and a lot of the ink is fading away. Might have dropped something. Do i have the moser 12 bolt?? I put my rear through hell. Slicks, 4.10's 4k launches. Ill take a pic of the rear and post it up later. From wut i understand the owner claimed the car was 100 stock, except for an ORY which came sperate w/ the car.

ok, if you counted 10 bolts, i don't think you have a moser 12 bolt. he probably swapped the rear and sold the moser to get his cash back

that looks stock as the day it was built. LOL...sucks you got blue-balled like that! I'd be just as excited.
Gotta think, after market products normally LOOK like aftermarket products...shiney or atleast painted, etc

If he readlly did buy a Moser, what else do you think that car could have gone through? You don't buy a beefy rear to just take it easy. I'm not trying to make you feel weird about your car - I'm just sharing my thought process.

I have a 2001 T/A that has a Moser 12 bolt in it. I have all the paper work showing where GM had this rear-end installed do to factory issues with the stock rear. But when this replacement took place GM also washed their hands and voided all warranty on the replacement. When I bought the car it had
13K. The rear was replaced at 9K. I have just replaced the 3.42 that GM had Moser install on the Eaton posi, with a 4.11, It made a huge difference.
