    that's an interesting piece. thanks

my buddy has a 99 vette and he was telling me that he had a little bit better cam but TA/Camaro's had better heads so it evened the power out. anyone know if this is true or is my buddy pulling a Ace Ventura and talking out of his ass?

courtsy of Chevy LS1/LS6 Performance i quote "The power increase for the 2001 LS1 was directly attributable to the integration of the LS6 manifold on both platforms." both platforms meaning the f-bodies and vettes.
Misinformed...no worries. We've ALL been there.

They do have different cams but not different enough to make any difference in power. Corvettes got a different oil pan and throttle body also.

vette's had to have a different oil pan to fit in the car,not for performance reasons. ls6 caddys also have a different pan.

Don't forget the Vette is 400lbs or so lighter.

In my experience if the cars have equal drivetrains A4 vs A4 or M6 vs M6 the odds favor the Vette because of the weight advantage. But driver skill plays a big role so anything is possible.
I've done it but it was a `99 A4 Vette vs my M6 Formula and it was a slow roll.
