    Defeating automatic headlamp control

    Is it possible to defeat/ trick / mod / delete the automatic headlamp feature? The TA I just bought has this feature and really, frankly, I think I'd like to control the headlights.

    Today, for instance, driving to work at 7:45 and I have blazing sunshine in my windshield and my headlights aren't going down. That's just stupid. At night, OK, fine. But if I want the headlights off I'd like to be able to do it.

    Where is the sensor(s) located for this? Maybe it is out of alignment or something.

    Ahhh - interesting. I wonder if maybe I can just mount the sensor higher up then, so it is closer to the incoming light.
