damn, you guys got hosed on the price for your dash pads. you paid stealership markup price.

i got mine at wholesale for $216 total for my '98, instead of $280 + tax.

always ask what is the best price they can give you. i paid $450 for the entire fuel pump module for my '98 since it was all rusted/bad. MSRP was $610 for the unit. i saved $160 by asking that one question.

Conquest auto no longer sells them. Got ahold of my buddy that works at the GM parts counter and he can get me one for $220.00. Should be here by the end of the week.

I found some vinyl carbon fiber sheets that can be placed over it on ebay. THey look pretty good. Im gonna fix the pad and then cover it with the new vinyl. I might do a few other things too. You can get them in all kinds of sizes for pretty cheap.

Ill probably do that after the holidays. Gotta get toys and stuff for the family. It is Christmas lol. But for a 48"x72" sheet i think its $89. From what it looks like, its a giant textured vinyl sticker simulating carbon fiber. You can do anything with it. Almost like that hydro thing but this is alittle more DIY orientated.

I wonder how much it would cost to get it re-covered in a decent quality leather?

Nice new dash. Im gonna go the repair it route. $20+ for some black vinyl wrap and then repair the cracks on the dash will be easier then trying to get a new dash to germany. but this dash issue has given me ideas for my interior. Im gonna do the dash in black vinyl, then do some parts in black carbonfiber. mostly to accent a few spots. not crasy but tasteful. Should be fun

I once found one in the junk yard in 2008 when I was putting a theft recovery T/A back together I bought I got it out a 02 LE Camaro SS it must have been luck because the dash pad didn't have a crack in it nowhere I looked for a dash pad for months before I found that one

I have gotten a few factory replacment parts from them and save up to 50% off dealer price.
What is the name of the site you was talking about. I need a new crash pad due to cracking.

Look up about 3 posts. He has the link there.

I believe the GM part number you're looking for is 10422746 . Just put it on the search box at the top left, where it says "Enter Part #". They're showing the dealer price to be $301.75, and their price is $175.33 . In doing a quick look around, there are other vendors who are asking more. Strange, they aren't showing it in the catalog though. You may want to call and confirm the part number and availability.
