Dark/Navy Blue stock color?

I got to looking at my TA in the dark, and it looks like it has a mystic/color changing paint job. It looks blue in some spots and dark purple in others. During the day if you get in the right light, the color changes as well. Any other dark blue metallic TA owners notice this, or was mine repainted?

that's how they are, brother. one of the awesomest colors they put out was Navy Blue Metallic just for that reason: it's "multiple personality"

Yep....love my paint color. A little history on Navy Blue Metallic. There was actually a purple metallic but GM had problems with the paint. They did a little color changing to come up with the Navy Blue Metallic that's where the hint of purple comes in. If you do some research on the net, you'll actually find that there were like 5 cars that made it off the line with the purple metallic paint job!

Sweet! I was hoping it's a stock color. Large part of why i bought the car was because of the color. I went to the dealership at night, and i noticed right away that it changed colors in the light. I was in love...

i get the same i've had peaple see me at night and say that wasn't you that one was black. and other times i've had people ask if its purple. i would love to have a nbm ws6 to go with my maro!

wouldnt trade mine for any other color, i am fond of the white with blue stripes and blue pearl chrome rims( I think they are an aniversarry edition)

honestly i don't know why there were so few "metallics" available on gm's performance cars. I would love a metallic red or metallic white [pearl] or phantom black metallic trans am.

Just saw this and wanted to toss in that I JUST purchased an NBM T/A! The color is awesome! It changes in with the light! I originally was gonna paint it black, but after seeing the character of the color, changed my mind. Anyone know how many were made with that color?

Congrats on the purchase! The NBM color is what made my final decision when I bought mine. I love it.
