same reason I got my bird. Dad had a 1969 firebird yellow, 4 speed hard top, so I got a 2002 6 speed t -top, yellow. Like father, like son.

    2002 Pontiac Trans Am CE

My first car was a 1975 Pontiac LeMans Sport Coupe with a tweaked Pontiac 400 block and Ram Air IV heads. I bought it for $950 off of a family friend that owned a used car lot. I initially went there to buy a Ford pick-up, but quickly decided trucks weren't for me when I nearly hit three people in that cumbersome truck. I parked the truck, looked across the lot, and there was my tri-tone (primer black, Pontiac Blue, and primer gray) two-door bomb sitting across the lot. My dad's first car was a '56 Star Chief that he bought because the Chevy pickup he test drove had a mind of it's own. Eerie and cool at the same time.

Sorry, i felt like sharing. You should, uh, get you some, uh fuel rail covers.....

KJax2010 - Good job buying your car before you have a license. I bought mine when I was 15. Very similar situation. Except, I paid for the whole car for $3800 at the time. It was a gold Camaro. It was early 1975 and I bought it from cutting grass around town. That was a lot of grass cutting and weed pulling. The next year, I graduated a year early from high school with 4.0. I hated high school it was a waste of my time.

    My first car:

    1973 Camaro 4 spd with a 350HP - 350 4V and 3.50 rear gears. I loved that car:

Let me congratulate you on a job well done. It looks like your really trying.... stick with it kid and make sure you get the grades.

    I turned 16, June 1st 1975.... fyi

Dude, way to go on the TA. By the time you can drive the thing you will have it the way you want it and not have to park it while you modify it. My dad wouldn't let me have anything that fast when I was young. I had some great cars but they weren't very fast. I had a 1957 Chevy Bel Air and a 1969 Caddy convertable when I was 16. The Caddy got 5 mpg. Wish I still had it but it would have to be a driveway queen at the moment!! LOL

At least you got the right mind set. Better than some of the older guys LOL. Congrats on your car, and even better for your attitude.

You have a bad ass car there. My 1st car was a 86 Tbird Turbo Coupe.. I took care of it, washed it like 2 times a week.... well that Is all I am gonna go into about it..
