cts-v caliper mod

Ok so I am finally going to pull the trigger on the cts-v caliper mod. I am just checking to make sure this is all that I need:

at least 18" wheels
cts-v front calipers
c6 z06 rotors
cts-v pads
custom brake line
brake hose washers
wheel spacers

How do you know if you need wheel spacers before putting the caliper on? As I would like to get all of these parts at once. I also read some where that I may need extended studs, will I really need those or is that for when you need wheel spacers?
