    on my formula, i used some 2 part epoxy....took a couple tries to get it down right, but it finally held....jb weld wont work for shit on it....

    If you use the epoxy, make sure you let it dry overnight before tightening the screws down when installing. I was impatient and tried to install it a couple of hours after applying the epoxy and it broke the epoxy. I had no problems after letting it cure overnight though. If you put it on thick, you may need to sand the top portion closest to the mirror housing.

    mine cracked in half inside as well... mirror was vibrating all over... tack welded the sumbitch back together... it's lame gm doesn't make just that part...

    thanks for the tip about waiting overnight, I plan to attempt the glue job for the third time tomorrow. Back in high school we learned to cast aluminum in sand, if someone out there was enterprising I think they could make some money manufacturing that part.
