Cooler thermostat
Is it a good idea to put a 160 degree thermostat in . I just got the Diablo programmer and already had a shift kit . I am slowly trying to add as the money comes in.

A 160 thermastat is a great idea for your Ls1. As long as it doesnt get too cold in N.C. Up here in michigan i had a 180 put in mine when the car was tuned on the dyno because the tuner said Ls1's dont like the 160 as much as the other cars out there. He also stated that the main reason for no 160 here was if you drive in the winter the car will hate a 160 in 20 degree weather. Go for the 160 and your car will love it.

I picked mine up on Ebay. They run around $50 locally, got it for $42 on Ebay.
