as i recall, there was a set of specs that just weren't up to par...dunno if they used some defective metal from china or what, but it was about the same time OneTone killed his that a lot of others were having issues in few miles.

I welded my Spec 3 a few years ago.....worse fuckin clutch i ever had. bitch never stopped chattering. i never ran with it at the track....not cause i didnt want to, just never had the chance....put 3k easy miles on it...than drove it on the PowerTour for another 5k miles. 2 weeks after i got back i take it to jersey to race some people back in the woods...did a burnout and thats all she wrote. had the whole combo aswell..clutch/flywheel/pressureplate etc. once again....worst fuckin clutch i ever owned!!!
do yourself a favor...buy a Textralia clutch. after the spec took a dump i put one in, 22k miles and countless trips down the track with countless runs on the street on spray and it didnt skip a beat.
bought another with my Turbo set up and its been great just like the first one. soft pedal and grips like a mofo!!
