Isn't that still covered under warranty? Or is that just rust?

Trans ams are common with having this problem on the panel between the window and t-tops. I read on another post that gm covered this with ai believe and don't quote me a 6 year paint corrosion warranty. Ask your dealer. Or if someone else can answer this question........
2000 Arctic White trans am, ws6 hood, ws6 air box, slp lid, slp smooth bellows, slp loudmouth exhaust, shift kit, rebuilt trans, LS6 intake, 3.73 gears, Shaner S3 p/p throttle body, and a tune . SFC. C6 ZO6 rims 18" in back 17" in front. Drilled and slotted rotors.

My SS has these bubbles and am just going to get the section repainted...
I have heard it is a manufacturers defect and could be covered under warranty, if you are still in warranty.

It is not covered under warranty. They cover it as customer courtesy. Some had the cost covered 100%, some as low as 50%-50% split. Just depends on the regional rep you get. I had to pay $200 deductable. The only problem may be that you are not the original owner. Take to a dealer and start there. Take a copy of the TSB. They ussually try to deny the problem is a defect and that there is no TSB.
Do not just have it painted. This will not solve the problem. The problem seems to be in the glue they used.
Good luck to you.
