In my opinion Borla's adjustable catback is to the LS1 what Flowmaster is to Mustangs... It's THE voice of the car. (nothing against the other brands of course.... )
yep the Borla sounds awesome with stock manifolds and cats, but is raspy with LTs and ORY at 2000rpm to 2500rpm with medium to heavy throttle. Light throttle and WOT isn't as bad.
So now I need to decide if I want a different cat back, different muffler for my Borla catback or a catted Y...

I have Hooker supercomp LT's and magnaflow catback with no cat's (Gotta love a no emission inspection state...) and I think it sounds great. It's fairly quiet when you are not getting on it, and almost no drone. It's one of the cheaper exhaust systems too, I paid 434.00 for mine brand new.

Looks like magnaflow by a landslide.

And that's one of the main reasons why it's winning as well...

Don't get me wrong, I like Magnaflow's products. The are one of the best products out there and really win big in the bang for the buck department..

I had a magnaflow kit on my old fox body and was amazed at how nice the quality was for the price... good stuff and offered at a reasonable price..no surprise it's the most popular.

I had a corsa I liked that it was quiet untill wot
but it kept cracking in the same spot of the muffler after 5 times of pulling it apart and getting it welded I went with my borla. I love it. I want an electric cut out for the pipe instead of the plates

right here,,catless too ...it is hard to explain exhaust tones/sounds....but at cold start up ..it will surprise you ( putting groceries away in the trunk when the g/f turned it on) i nearly hit my head on the trunk.... Idle to me is perfect..it has that classic rumble ...i can hear it in the house and it still sounds good...but it isnt loud (if that makes any sense) ...at cruising i love it...gets tons of looks and is one of the best when it comes to that area .......and WOT .....get the hell out of here...it is amazing ...i will sound like a douche ..but when i get to the 5k+ mark ...the sound it makes ..is damn near orgasmic ...i get butterflies in my stomach kind of feel. I personally think my magnaflow is relativity quiet compared to other catbacks ..and i have never heard her go WOT from outside the interior ...but when i raced a g8 GT ..the only thing he said to my friend afterward is "that thing was loud"

Partially because they use 304(?) stainless steel vs. Magnaflow's 409(?) stainless steel. 304 stainless will look better longer. Magnaflow only uses 304 stainless for the tips.

    Catback wise....just the LM1.

    Heard all of them though....
Girlfriends car has a Hooker catback, very close to the Magnaflow in my opinion.
Loved the GMMG....but it can get raspy on cammed (or FI cars).
Not a big fan of the Borla either. Not sure why, as the tone was good. Something just didn't sound quite right to me.
    Flowmaster is blah.
Heard a Corsa that sounded pretty good...but the car was modded heavily.

Personally I don't see the worth in the high priced catbacks. Just too much money.
For the price of the GMMG you can sound better in my opinion and gain more power because you can afford Pacesetters....along with that Magnaflow.
