Car locks and arms alarm randomly!?!?

I have a 2000 Trans AM WS6 and just recently it has started to arm the alarm randomly. While driving between 10-20MPH the doors will continuously lock over and over. When the car is off even with the doors unlocked the alarm will go off if I put the key in the ignition, or shut the hood/hatch or door. It arms itself every couple minutes while off. I can't even get out and throw some gas in it without setting the alarm off when i get back in the car.

mine was doing that, but it turned out to be my brother, he had the spare key and was following me.

i would say check your remote buttons for corrosion or something causing it to act like you were randomly pressing buttons.

Could be a BCM issue. It powers the locks which when locked arms your alarm after the door is closed. Our cars are notorious for BCM trouble with a couple of solder joints on the curcuit board cracking and making intermittent contact..

    Question

I've read about people curing some electrical gremlins just by replacing the battery......would that be worth trying in this case?
