I've been looking for a car since like 2005 an every single one i check out has lifter taps or spun bearings or some weird problem (it's like i'm not suppose to get the car =D ) Anyway, the point of my story is, just be patient an keep what you ahve for now, then find an ls1 that you like a lot, an if it's the right price get it. Just be careful, a lot of the higher mileage cars that i've checked have motor problems.

get 2000 more and ill sell u my 98 black [LS1] (almost 80K miles)

i'd just keep my eyes open on places like ebay. it all depends how bad you want an ls1. i've recently bought a 98 and a 99 trans am for under 10 grand and seen ls1's go for 1300 dollars but if your just looking for a quick power boost go with a lt1 there cheap and easy to find

i would not to ebay. how can u buy a car without ever seeing it in person, test driving it, or even being in it. a video of the car would help, but still.... speding thousands of dollars on something you dont know that much about... there could be problems you dont knowabout.... ya know? i dont think i will ever buy a car off of ebay.

I drive my Formula with more caution than any car ive ever owned. I seriously have never driven so slow in my life. Besides the ocasional highway stomp to 100 and back. This car scares me enough to get my priorities straight, and showing off is not one of them.

Its ok to go 130, if the situation is right, ie: low to no traffic, on a straight-away. but not with 3 buddies screaming woooooooooooo!

sorry if I sound like a dork.

haha, this reminds of one time I was driving home from a concert on the freeway with two of my buddies in the car. it was around 2 AM and there wasn't anyone on the road, so I says, hey, I've never gone 120, think I should do it? and my friends say, uhhhh, I dunno. so i do it anyway. never seen my friends so damn scared. hahaha, ah memories. and while I was going that fast some new Acurca RSX tried to pass me. I had to get off the freeway in a mile so I just slowed the hell down and laughed at the asshole in the stock RSX wanting to race me. good times tho.

I feel there's a difference between having "mommy and daddy" buy it for you and when you're forking out your own green for the car. I have more respect for my car because the money is coming out of MY pocket then when mommy and daddy let me drive their truck, i ran the hell out of it. I just feel that i have a higher sense of respect, pride, and discipline with my Formula because i got the loan myself, and pay for it myself. Car($326.51/mo.) Geico Full Coverage($112/mo).
