can i run 11's??
Ok heres the deal. My car is a 2002 WS6 LS1 M6. It has been run at the track on a silpping clutch and ran a 12.91 this was with MAC midtubes ORY and stock WS6 exhaust, and a mild HPTune. since then i have added a SLP lid, K&N filter, bellow, polished the MAF and TB, put msd wires and AC Iridium plugs, put a 3" catback exhaust on, LGM G5X3 cam, and just put on a HSW 100hp dry shot. It has a stock 3.42 posi rear. My big ? is can i put some 11's down if i get a good clutch in it and possibly get another tune??? My cousin says im retarded and laughs at me cuz i smoke is little pussy ass GT mustang and when i told him im shooting for 11's he just laughs at me cuz theres no way my car could be that fast.

I dunno dude. What's your 60' time from the track last time?
I'm curious because going with that cam and teh spray, you won't see 11's if you don't hook.

Um yeah. That's what I said about the traction.
He's looking to pick up at least a full second from his previous time.
With the increased power, launch RPM, clutch slippage, no suspension mods, stock 10 bolt & gears, and depending on whether he sprays out of the hole or not, as you know, are all factors to consider.
There are many A4's doing mid-high 11's cam only with big converters but you've got to admit it's harder to pick up that amount of time with a M6.
With my cam I was able to pick up 71rwhp but that only equated to .7 of a second at the track. That's w/ a completely new tune, 4000 converter, suspension, gears, 3500rpm launch, and good weather.
1.53 60', 11.78@116mph 1/4
The spray will negate the weather conditions however there's M6's putting 440rwhp/420rwtq that can't break 11's secondary to the stress caused by launching and spinning.
Just something to consider.
