    Cam guys in here

Just wondering what you guys with cam, supporting mods, and a tune are getting in gas milage. What is the differance after adding the cam? How badly did it decrease? What do u get in the city/highway?

Mileage will depend on driver, size of cam, tune, environmental issues (weather, landscape), wheel/tire sizes, gearing, vehicle mileage, and multiple other factors.

I have yet to cam my LS1, but have installed cams in at least 4 of my other cars. Some of the them were pretty aggressive. I didn't notice a significant mileage drop, except for when I was harder on the gas.

With all that stated, a small to moderate cam with a good tune should only slightly reduce your mileage, unless you change your driving habits. If you get into it more, you will obviously lose more mileage.

I have a 99 T/A LS1 M6 Ws-6. 2 months ago I installed a Z06 cam and roller rockers. Prior to doing the cam work I was getting 19/26mpg(Cithy/Highway). Without changing my driving habbits I'm getting 19/24. IMO the 2 mpg that I lost is worth every oz.
Just a side not, I have not tuned the motor yet. Itsa still running with the old cam tune.

on full bolts ons, a tr230, stage 2 heads, and high compression, I averaged about 200 miles per tank if I was good.

As long as I am nice, I get 15 in town and 20 on the highway. I have a 3400 stall, TR224 cam, headers, LS6 intake, 80mm TB, and some others. Mine has never really got good mileage, even stock I was getting 19/24 or so.
