    CAI and 3000 rpm converter

    hey kids...lookin 2 add new mod asap.....lookin @ CAI and 3000 rpm converter.....with the CAI has anyone with TA ever really had hydrolock?....It does rain about half the year (or so it seems) here.....is this something I shoudl be concerned with?.,.....and anyone suggestion on converters?....I want something close to my stock, cause it's my DD...but I want an extra kick......thanx!

    i'd go no less then 3200 stall for a lt1.

    my dyno sheet says that my torque peak hits at 3500, so I would buy a a 3600 stall and enjoy the hell outta my big monster lt1 torque band.


    as far as the intake, you should keep the plastic undertray under the filter if you drive it in the rain, that should be enough protection.


    btw, I would for sure go with a vigilante converter. your best deal is right here

    and for the CAI.. they make water covers that go over the air filter that are water-proof. just slides right ontop of the filter and you set

    I have a Volant brand CAI and a 3000 RPM Streetfighter stall from TCI.
    The above stall is very tight and is close to stock and shaved .5 tenths of my track times.

    btw...if I choose a 3000 or 3200 what type of difference will I 'feel' in general?....like on take off and just in general?........

    I chopped upthe inside of my ws6 stlye hood inside so you can see the twin Volant filters through the nostrils. I drive in rain and have no issues.
