    Buying new starter

    Found a starter for $70 on eBay for ls1. Is this a decent starter or will it crap out? Any advice welcome. Thanks

    make sure it's the new style starter like this one with the 2 long bolts:


    and not the old style with the 1 long 1 short bolt



    supposed to offer better protection against breaking the mounting ear off the block

    If you can afford it buy a new starter not a remanufactured unit. You will save money in the long run.
