Brake Caliper Pin
So today I went to replace my front brake pads and rotors but when I went to put the caliper back on, one of the pins/ bolts wouldn't contract and I've tried everything but it won't go back in its housing. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Did you lubricate it with brake grease before putting it back in? If not I would try removing it if you can and applying the grease to see if that helps.

I'd still try that and see if it helps. If you don't lubricate them they can seize up.

Brake Caliper Pin
Spray it heavily with a good penetration oil and grab it with vise grips or channel locks and try turning it back and forth . Once it starts to move it should loosen up . Wire brush or wire wheel it and grease it well . Use caliper or brake grease . All of them should be greased every time you do a brake job .

I had to "warm" the housing with a torch for a pin that was completely seized on our car when we first purchased it. As stated, liberal use of a penetrating oil and rather than pulling on it, I started by rotating it in the housing and just working it back and forth until it broke free.
