ALL T/As are literally (and legally) "Forumlas" w/ the "T/A appearance package". Nothing in the VIN distinguishes a Formula from a T/A. But the VIN DOES distinguish a V6 (Firebird) from a V8 (Formula or T/A), which is all the insurance co. cares about.

Nope, you're not crazy. This comes up all the time around here.

my cousin's 92 camaro made a loud whine noise like that when he was on the gas or crusing at any speed above 50... really loud where you couldn't even really listen to the radio w/o cranking it up loud... we ended up having to put a whole new rear end out of a newer z28, and now its great... found it for a great price out of a wrecked one, and did the labor ourselves...

Thats all you are getting 14 mpg! I also have a m6 and I get alot better than that! You must be playing hard or need a tune up because I am pretty sure you should be in the high teens. When I am cruising down the highway I get like 28 or 29 mpg. City driving is 18-21 without horsing on it. Anyone else have similar results?

hey ! i have the same problems youdo with my 1998 ws6 m6!! it sounds like you are talking about my car,my gears grind and sometimes wont go into gear,my clutch petal sticks to the floor when i rev the car or am racing someone,my coolant light on dash stays on all the time,my rotors have been like that since the car was bought in 2000, i wanted to let you know as of 2 wks ago my release bearing went out the car got to where it wouldnt go into ANY gear at all -so watch out it may happen to you!!! im putting a zoom clutch in mine so maybe that will work better! and my clutch master cylinder has a busted seal so i have to replace that too. another thing to watch for is the knock sensors going bad. mine have went out recently and the car has lost loads of power, mpg ,etc. i will hopefully take care of those when the clucth is put in. well dont know if any of this helps , but our cars sound like twins!!

I'd go with a stock replacement (LS6) before Zoom, that is all.

If you can change a slave in a 1/2 hour I got one for you to do. Must take you like 10 minutes to drop the tranny.

I'm confused, how does a clutch that hasn't even been put in yet cause all the other problems she's already has w/ the car??

i think he just wanted someone to pick on,my problems stem from this car being my daily driver since 2000,ive really never heard anything really bad about a zoom clutch?! its like anything else when you have the misfortune of a car part failing ,most people with these cars go for a mod product - not a stock replacment.
