I was thinking about getting a SLP cold-air intake for some add hp.

I did that on my truck after I installed an exhaust and I really felt a difference.

I had taken a video right after I had installed JBA headers and the borla cat back. IMO its the best sounding exhaust out there. The video is at a standstill but I should take a video while driving it just sounds awesome.

Music to my ears! I love that sound! Nice vid! Sounds really clean and strong. Sounds really similar to mine, but much deeper and louder. I am sure because of the headers. My next big mod are headers. Since they're such a pain to install, I am going to wait a little. Also, mods get addicting, so I am really holding myself back.... Did you notice a gain in HP with the JBA headers? (I heard on the LS1's we can get up to 25-30hp...)

And why JBA headers? Long tube?

I was really worried about clearance and about replacing the Y-pipe. So I decided to go short tube. But I also hear pacesetters LTs have good ground clearance.

On another note they weren't hard to install very straight forward. It just takes a while. Also when you do get headers think about new plugs and wires. Its the ideal time to do a tune up.

-Funny you say that, I just did a complete tune up because I just bought the car 4 weeks ago. All fluids, filters, and spark plugs, battery, ect. - Cost me a lot, but it was worth it since it was never done on the car since it left the dealer (previously owned by an elder man, which explains the low miles, but atleast he changed the oil every 3k miles.).

I am thinking about going with Edlerbrock, got to support California

And I would like to go with short tube, due to emissions in Cali

I'm not flaming here and I'm sure most people will not agree with me, but I think those Borla Quad tips look cheap. Now the single tips look very good.

Check out the link below. Just added a bunch of pictures and 2 videos. The video is the first day I got the exhaust (may 07), sounds a little deeper and louder now, but you get the idea.

    Thumbs up

It should get louder, i got my T\a with a lot of the expensive stuff done for me

SLP LT Headers and Borla cat-back Dual duals (or w\e it is box shaped tips) and just literally yesterday when i was trying to find a parking spot for my car (safe one had to park in the street) my friend was like "DAMN, your car sounds AWESOME i want mine to sound like that i could hear you over a mile away!"
    Cant help but smile
Ive only had my car since may and since then ive run into so many ppl that have nothing but positive stuff to say, even the guys at costco that put on my new tires came out to shake my hand and talk to me!

Mine are clamped on, id perfer things bolted\ clamped myself just so its easy to take off and on, cuz i like to do things myself.
But everyone has their own preference. A few things i learned is that when it comes to specific parts being welded you better have a good welder bc they can do a awful job or mess up something. Just keep that in mind.

Also if anyone cared to see the box tips i just posted on the last page of "show off your birds", I know some ppl like em and others done but i do just need to shine em up.
