    Body change over

Out of curiosity, Has anyone ever seen a T.A. swap that consisted a pre 98 model with a front clip that was of the later model years? How expensive is it and, how difficult is it?

    Thanks,

I've seen it done on a few... you just need the bumper cover, hood, fenders, head light assembly, fogs, signals, and all the corresponding supports. I've had my front end on my 99 off a few times, and putting everything back on wasn't difficult at all.

It would be only be as expensive as the donor car you purchase to do it. Buying everything seperate would pass $2k real quick.

Do a search, a few members have done it.

I don't think it would be all that expensive to be honest. Not sure about TA parts, but Camaro parts are rather cheap. I've seen fenders for less than 100 bucks. Hood and headlight assemblies would probably be the only expensive parts.

If it isn't that expensive, wonder where I could start looking for the parts?

i started to do it on my lt1 camaro, but bought a ls1 firehawk after the camaro got wrecked. I bought the bumper on ebay for $100. i got the supports from gmpartsdirect and buy-OEM-parts. the fenders were about $40 each at car parts depot. the hood is the most expensive part. unless you can buy a used one somewhere. well, repainting everything will probably be the most expensive thing. Also, if the parts aren't CAPA certified, the clearances may not be exact, but will still work.

I would check ebay...you should find almost everything you need on there and it will be a lot cheaper.

Yeah, I kicked around EBay this morning. Found some good looking hoods and one fender.
