    Blowed it up !

    title says it...
    I blew out 2nd...
    i have an A4 stock 02 t/a

    it had been acting up so i took it in the shop they hooked it up did the usaul expensive stuff..and then i got a call saying well there is no second gear..

    Not not going to say that i am easy on the car, but im not hard..ive taken it to the track 3 times that was on an eight mile...i run it on the street...but hey, its a trans am... it wants to go fast...

    they said they was just ganna throw a stock one in...

    just though id share my 2.800 dollar experince

    For that price I would consider a hi-po rebuild. Shift kit, clutches, servo, etc. It will shift nicer and there will be less chance of it blowing up on you when taking it to the track. Just my .02

    Yea i remember when i had to do a tranny and the Dealership told me something like 2,600+. I went with aftermarket and a stronger one at that..

    dude just get a built tranny for 2400, and put it in yourself look up online how to do it thats how i learned.
