How big of a cam? With a big enough cam and some 4.10's I think you'd take a stock form Terminator.

It all depends if the cobra is stock or modded...

A set of heads would certainly help to even the odds...

Listen you dont need a big cam to take a stock cobra, they run high 12s with a good driver, i ran that with 3 bolt ons, now a slightly modded cobra makes 440rwhp, in which case you need a cam, some rear end gears and sticky tires, then you could take one they run mid to high 11s i have see nT/As with cam gears, run low 11s.

Cam and LTs will take a stock form pretty easily. I have a cam and LTs and make close to 390rwhp. Stock terminators put down like 340rwhp or so. It will depend on the driver but you should beat it...

whoever said it was stock?? 99% of them have at least a pulley or catback. In which case theyll push well over 400hp. So ull need full bolt ons and a cam to run/hang with a slightly modded one. If hes stock, a full intake and exhaust setup should do.

It pretty much comes down to this, correct me if i'm wrong.

There are 3 or 4 types of cobras you will find.

Bone stock Cobra (~340 rwhp/ 3800 lbs): A full bolt on F body (gears help) should do the trick due to our advantage in weight.

Full bolt on, pullied cobra (~450 rwhp): Decent h/c or just a nasty cammed (full bolt on) f body should be a contender if not faster.

Full bolt on, pulled, aftermarket (ported) blower cobra(500rwhp-600+rwhp): Of course it depends, but you'll definitely need a nasty h/c with 100+ shot of nitrous to contend or win. Of course a stroker motor will definitely even the odds in your f body.

Previous cobra with nitrous too (infiniti rwhp ) : you'll definitely need a h/c swap, full boltons, a nastier motor (383, 402, 408 forged etc) to keep up or win.

Well they have a limit, until you put an intake manifold on them and twin turbo them, then the limit is around 1400rwhp. If you wanna beat the faster supercharged street cobras, you gonna need forged internals and about 800rwhp, with some slicks cause your gonna need to be running mid 9s.

hahah lol, i don't think that's right. I have seen plenty of videos of f bodies and vettes with less HP, beating kb cobras. I know there are many variables involved (driver too of course) but as far as racing a "streetable" cobra, an f body would need the same amount of hp or maybe a little less to contend/win. Theres so many factors involved to predict things like this, but an f body wont need 800 rwhp to beat a kb/spray cobra.

If you really want to win (i post this all the time cause I know it will work) wait for him to get right at your front bumper and clip his rear end so he spins out and go all the way FTMFW!!

Lol ok, if the cobra is truely moddifeid it wont have the IRS it will have a live axel, now T/As weigh 3500-3600 lbs cobras with IRS 3700-3800 cobras with the live axle swap for drag racing 3500-3600lbs. Same weight now its just a horsepower and driver race.

03-04 cobras are def alot harder to launch compared to an F-Body. so if this guy cant drive, it wont take much to beat him. with a 2.8" upper, bassani ORX, borla stingers, K&N FIPK II and a shitty diablo predator tune i dyno'd 456 RWHP 468RWTQ on a hot and humid day down here in texas, just for reference. they build power quick, even with the not-so-efficient Eaton.
