back fire:

This is a discussion on back fire: within the Firebird / WS6 forums, part of the Vehicle Specific category; I have never owned an Opti equipped powerplant... looks like I really missed out on all the fun....

    Well I charged the battery, put gas in it, started it up and there was a loud noise on driver side valve cover. Took the cover off and there it was, pushrod was off so I checked to see if it was bent and it was not the rod was in great shape, so put it back in and set it as close as I could. Then started it and it purrs like a kitten. But took it to a shop to make sure all is ok and put a tune up on her and will know next week on it.Thanks all of you for your help.

    Yikes! That is very odd. I think I would pull the other cover and give everything a good once over.

    That is just what I did, once I found that I put it on the trailer and took it to a guy that is very good at this kind of a mess. Thanks
