When I was 16 I was looking for my first car. At the used car lot was a late 70s trans am with the 6.6 and the shaker hood for $1200 in black with the gold bird on the hood. My mom wouldnt let me get it because their was no back seat room. Now Im 33 and I finally got my trans am.

I'm 22. Bought my car to celebrate my birthday and having a real job back in February!!! Still not finished with college, but my job is paying my tuition, so Heeellls yeah!!! When I get finished with ALL of my college in the year 2100 lol, i'm going to try to get either a new Camaro(if Chevy doesn't let me down) or a WS6....love the SS and the T/A's!!! And let us not forget Firehawks, those are rather nice as well. I do believe I've become an LSX fanatic...but what's wrong with that?

11 years ago? I don't remember 1996 prices being that low, maybe 1986...even back when in high school (91) the prices were
like $1.20 or so.Sure don't remember that in Texas.

I'm 52 - bought my 02 WS6 new. It's red with t-tops. My wife reminded me that if I attracted a younger woman with it, that she would own it and I'd be driving a Pacer.

    1999 Trans Am

Well guys let me say this. I'm 52, bought my first Trans Am when I was 19. It was a brand new 1974 Buccaneer Red with white interior, 400 CID/ auto. I now own a 99 T/A M-6 with numerous mods and upgrades I personally installed. Results so far: ran a best of 11.97 @116 this summer.

And as far as being able to work with computers, I was programming in DOS before you guys even knew what a computer was.

Bottom line, you are never too old to appreciate and have fun with muscle cars, especially this one. Can't wait until next spring and the next level of mods.
