Yeah I sold 2 of my 3 cars and used half my savings to pay cash for my 'Bird. No car payment is the way to go.
I can't afford the insurance either so I'm living on the edge with Liability only at about $45 a month (I think...its combined in with my wifes so I'm not sure what it is)
28 years old here, baby coming in 2 weeks

I just recently turned 18, and the funny thing is.... I drove a taurus for 2 years before i owned the T/A... i believe i sped more in the taurus just being a dick to people than i do in the T/A. I definitely do gun the T/A and go faster than in the Taurus but overall i definitely sped a LOT more in that ford taurus mostly because i didnt care about it haha

I agree completely. I just turned 19 myself, and have driven 4 cars since I got my license. A 1977 Beetle, 1974 Nova, 1985 Firebird, and now the SS. I believe if someone has something they appreciate, they tend to be more careful with it.

My uncle is trading in his 2006 Z06 because he keeps getting speeding tickets. He's like 40-something years old. He asked me the other day "I don't know how you keep your foot out of it (the SS)." I just replied I dunno, just really isn't a reason to go 100+ mph unless I'm at the track. WOT run to 60mph, sure why not? I'm more of an acceleration kind of guy.

Point is, doesn't matter how old you are or how experienced, the only way to find out how someone responds to situations is to put them in one IMO

agreed i get more kicks out of accelerating really quickly chirping between gears than risking it going 100+
