Anyone with a 2000 Trans?
Looking at this 2000 TA that I posted in another thread. I just wanted to know who all here has a 00' TA? What do you or don't you like about it? Is it reliable. I just want to know the pro's and con's of the 00' Thanks for any info.

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
to tell you the truth..if your looking at the 00'...just pony up (no pun intended) and get a 01-02 ls1..they have the ls6 intake and are usually better cars..cleaner engine bay due to the lack of the air and egr system

you can get a 00 for cheaper than a 01 02 then just shell out $300 get a LS6 intake and delete the EGR adn Air problem solved.

and upgrade your injectors to 28s. and if a manual upgrade the hydrolic system and the clutch... like i said over all 01-02s are better cars..now if hes going to mod them heavy then f-that get a 98-00... but if he wants a relatively mild modded car then 01-02s are the way to go.

I can't speak for him, but I think Shady was just listing the better performance options that came stock with the 01s and 02s versus the 98-00 Trans Ams...so he was making the point that, in addition to the other parts he mentioned, the injectors would have to be increased to have all the advantages of the 01-02 models....
...Like I said, that's just my interpretation of Shady's reply.....chime in if I'm wrong Shady lol...

I have a 2000 TA, WS6. I did a heads/cam/headers install. I removed air/egr/cats and installed LS6 intake. Engine bay is cleaned up.
