I have taken my car to the stip BONE STOCK and i ran a 12.9.....automatic mind you....... slam on the gas and let the times speak for themselves, i'm not saying that your a bad driver a lot of people give automatics a hard time!! Great race, and I absolutley love walking on mustangs!!!
Yeah I know auto can be faster at the drag strip. But i just love driving my 6 speed. And even though an auto would be faster it's just not worth it to me.

btw: 12.9 is a VERY good time. Thats very impressive. You just shut me up. Although when you say BONE stock, what tires where you running?

Very nice, a little more practice and you will be gettin around 8.8s in the 1/8th stock. Also what were your 60s.

2.0s are good especially with street tires. Nitto's will drop it into the 1.9s. ETs even lower. Wish I could at least get back to 2.1s with my street tires, lol gears messed that all up. But yeah as for track times, yes they tell you who is faster at the track, but not nescesarilly on the road. My friend in his auto has timeslips where he has run .37 faster in the 1/8th than me, and on the highway I have to slow down to make it a better race.

It's just the launch that is hard. From a roll a m6 is usually going to walk all over an auto. But that all depends.

Alot of times with a good rebuild and a stall auto's will do good from a roll. I picked up 6mph with a stall and headers.

And they don't do as well on a road course.

BTW: I really want to take my car to the road course this summer.

I have got to admit, thats good! A fast car can only do so much. You have to be one GOOD driver to get that thing in the 12's. I consider myself a better than average driver and I am very happy with a 13.4, I could do a little better with some practice but I will never get a stock ls1 in the 12's.

OK, I see on your 2nd run you did bust in the 8s (8.77) through the 1/8. Got a little room for improvement but all in all, dam good run. Better than average driver.

But that being said, I must admit that engine is pretty incredible as long as it's over 3,000 rpm's, thats when it really kicks in.

I can't wait to start modding.
oh but god did have something to do with the ls1 build and i got the pic to prove it
