Anyway, the best time I saw for the '07 was a 14.12 @ 100.x MPH. So, he made the excuses about too much wieght for the new Mustangs, even tho HP is up for the 4.6 with its' 3 valve head. I raced him, that run he missed a shift and ran a 15.06 @ 98.57 to my 13.08 @ 108.37
Mostly he ran 14.1 to 14.3.
BTW, I raced the 428 Cobra Jet Mustang, it ran a 11.88 @ 111.69, and this was my first 12 sec. run, a 12.992 @ 107.29 Street tires for me, obviously.

Does anyone know of a LS1 for sale for a decent price? I know a guy who owns a Mustang GT that might be in the market for an ls1 car soon.

This one is of me and my friends SS I rans a 13.7 he ran a 13.6 (his best time of the night was a 13.3)
This is me and the Mustang, Sorry about the quality. The camera operator didn't even film my car, he just kept it on the mustang the whole time. I ended up running a 13.4

There is nothing wrong with a 13.4 stock. A lot of things contribute, DA, track prep, tires, tire pressure.
Hell my best 1/4 is a 13 flat. And I have had ppl say, ahhh man if I drove that car I could get some good times out of it...W/E. I use true street tires and no I don't consider Nitto 555Rs true street. But yeah throw some slicks or ET streets on and you will hit the 12s. I threw on the ETs at our 1/8 mile track and picked up .6 just on the 1/8th.

nice kill but don't count the mustang boys out. stock they suck but they can be made fast. a guy i know just procharged his 94 5.0 and put down 506 hp and 511 torque. but it always feels good to smoke the shit talkers.

Psst, any car can be made faster. Throw a procharger on yours and go wax his ARSE. LOL. Or do heads and cam and whoop up on him... They hate that, getting beat by naturally aspirated peeps...haha.

Have you taken your to the strip when it was completely stock? Plus 98 is supposed to be the slowest year. I am very happy with a 13.4!

Dam fine job Ryanater, so I take it, his mouth is forever shut now?
LMFAO, but I guess he wasn't too chicken to try to back up his talk. I give him props for that.

And he started making all of these excuses like he spun all the way through 3rd gear. Then he said he missed third gear. So my friend has a really nice video camera and he also recorded the run. We zoomed in on his car during the playback and we showed him that he didn't spin at all. Then I told him that I was already long gone by the time he was even thinking about hitting third gear.

LOL, rub it in, rub it in...
I think if anyone would have had a spinning issue, it was you, not him.

So thats why you don't run your mouth BEFORE you race. It made him look so stupid because I never said a word while he was always talking about how he could beat both me and the STi (13.5)
05-26-2007, 01:50 PM #57
Yeah I have noticed most F-Body owners don't run their mouth, they walk the walk. Hate it when ppl do run their mouth and then puss out on a race.
Nice run there though, 13.4 is definately respectable, especially stock.

The race against the Camaro was a lot more fun though. We both had 9.027 1/8th miles. That was so cool. He ended up pulling on me after that but it was still close.

Keep in mind clg82, typically yes an auto will perform better at the track stock vs stock, on the street the M6 will reign stock vs stock. It is much harder to drive a M6 on the track, still fun though all in all. I wouldn't mind having an auto for the track and my M6 for the street. MUHAHAHAHAHAA!!!
