But that being said, I must admit that engine is pretty incredible as long as it's over 3,000 rpm's, thats when it really kicks in.

I can't wait to start modding.

But thats the thing, it was. But seriously as far as value for dollar goes i think were at the top of the food chain, with the xception of cobras, vettes, and a few imports

Yeah but the cobra is more expensive so it the vette for the money you pay for them sure you get alot but in my case i paid 10,700 and got a car that i can beat most things i come across. After i put the cam in I will have spent around 13k for all my parts and be running low to mid 12s since i run 12.9s now. For 13k a low 12 second car with T-Tops comfort and one fucking beautiful body, thats a good deal in my book. With slicks and 4.10 i could touch 11s. So 14k for an 11 second beast.

yeah, you can spend 80K for a vette, 36+(?) for a cobra, or 32k, average, for one of ours. Vettes lose over half their value as soon as you get them off the lot. You can buy one a few years old for like 20, or 15k because everyone knows you drive them into the dirt.

, let me guess it was a Mustang owner that told you they were really fast...

Word of advice when you run him at the track, try to control your wheel spin when taking off, don't pay attention to where he is. If he takes you off the line, don't sweat it you will surely pass him before the 1/8th mark. Around 3rd gear you will be past him. A descent driver should run around 8.7-9 sec. in the 1/8 and 13.4-13.9 in the 1/4. Stangs run around 10 in the 1/8. All stock numbers based on around a 3000' DA.

A car that runs a 13.4 and on that runs a 14.8 lol, do you know how much 1 second looks like when your racing, many car lengths lol. There have been times when racing my friends GTs that i think they have let off the are so far behind so i let off and they come screaming by me. then they tell me they never let off the gas. The GT was a v8 that had a 260 at the crank, thats about 210 rwhp if your stick and about 200-205 if auto. My car stock made 317rwhp. Which means we have 100rwhp more. The pre 99s had 245 at the crank and made about 190-200 rwhp. The cars we just weak. my buddy who had a 3.8L v6 2000 camaro with exhaust and an intake took a couple mid 90s GTs. I admit the 99s could pull low 14s, but still wtf.

well i'm bringing the carcorder tonight so I should be able to get it on tape. This guy has apperantly been running his mouth all friggin week about how me and my friend(STi) can't drive and how he could get our cars in the 12's. So hopefully one of us should be able to shut him up. Plus Tubjub (from this site) might be coming too, with his SS. And he has put down some decent times.

Bout the same. They have more power sorta, but weigh about 200 lbs more too.

A new one ran on our track a couple weeks ago and managed a high 9. 1/8th mile.

I will post the video tomorrow. It's not the greatest because the camera was focused on him the whole time, you can only see one of my tailights while he is doing his burnout. them the camera zooms in on him. I'm too tired to do it tonight. I'm going to bed.

    You will win hands down

My friend has a 99gt bone stock i had a 99SS with CAI both were sticks

We were pretty even off the line, (stangs had pretty good torque, just over 300 if remember right) till about 30-40, then after that its all over, our LS1's create an amazing amount at the top end, just pull him up till you feel like you dont want to go any faster then look at the two little lights in your rear view mirror lol
