Another accident!?!?
So today, i was driving my gf to work and i'm going about 35 next to some old lady...
Apparently she was talking on her phone and drifted over in my lane, she was in the middle i was in the right lane and i had no where to go...
She sideswipes my car, cracks the driver side mirror, breaks off some of that side molding stuff.. w/e it's called.. the stuff to protect from doors opening into you or something and scratches up the fender and puts black marks all over evrything w/ her tire...
She accepted the blame and they put her at fault, but what a pain in the ass... now i gotta worry about getting this fixed, hopefully i'll get some money out of it :chuckle:
But luckily it wasn't worse and nobody was hurt.

these cars are going to be rare by the end of this winter!
sux that it happened but at least it wasn't totalled!
btw.. could you not have just slammed on your brakes enough to get behind her when you noticed her coming into your lane?? Or was there alot of traffic behind you?

there was not much traffic behind me, but she did it pretty fast, i didn't have time to honk the horn... also the way she was doing it was really weird, wasn't expecting her to even come into my lane, idk man was just totally wierd...
if i could have redone that situation, yeah i could have slammed on my brakes to avoid her but at the time it was so unexpected i didnt even think of it.

Holy shit same thing happened to me sort of, well she was speeding (van full of older black ladies) and as she passed me she got too close clipped a little of the mirrior and my rear fender. But my problem is i kept going home and called the cops (it was right next to my house) and she didnt stop either but claimed she did and i have a hit and run charge on me. Damn SC laws are gay

black- 2002 Trans Am
I try not to allow anyone to pace me. It seems that a lot of people have a tendency to come up along side a Trans Am and stay there. It's not safe to drive right beside anyone for an extended length, as you found out.
If someone starts pacing me, I will ease ahead or drop back. I rarely pull ahead of them, most clodhoppers out there think you wanna race. I usually drop back, then they will leave me alone.

I am glad the damage was not to bad, and you were alright. All these accidents arent even our fault, we are minding our own business while some idiot rams in to us.
