About to buy an 02 WS6 Saturday...

My name is Charles. I am new here (acutally I used to post here back around 2000 but forgot my login), and finally the day has come- I am getting the TA I have wanted since I was 16 when the LS1 game out. My banker sent the drafting instructions today and I am picking it up Saturday. It is an 02 WS6. Its silver, M6, 100% bone stock, 1 owner, 35k. The only thing I am wary about is the fact that this car is from the Houston/Pasadena, TX area near the coast. I havent looked at the car in person yet, but obviously wont buy unless I feel the car is in excellent condition. How much should I worry about rust? The differential cover has a coat (looks to just be surface rust) and the brackets or whatever around the axle have a little too. Is the normal? Other than that, this car looks great. Please tell me what y'all think? Is that little bit of rust normal?

I wouldn't worry about rust on the rear I don't think they were painted from the factory alot of cars/trucks are that way I would do a carfax on it though you don't want to end up with a flood car (electrical nightmare) or any other major damage good luck with it sounds like a nice car

It's carfax certified. The dealer has a link to the whole report. Provided it free via their website. All things are good. Shows all its inspections/locations, where it was bought, mileage at each inspection, etc.

Nothing like buying your dream car. I still remember when I picked mine up in 2001 like it was yesterday and driving around to all my friends houses.
