A4 Shifter mod.
I've seen it done on a few 4L60Es now and wonder where and what its being done with. The T handle on the stock A4 shifter in a firebird is replaced with a roller ball or something else knob and it doesnt have the button to shift with. How and what is this done with? I want to swap mine for a nice que ball, much more comfortable IMO.

Something like above is what you are talking about I believe. You push down on top of the ball.

yea ws6store sells the conversion unit..it requires a shiter with a 2" tail in order to work
i will be doing this or a similar mod when i get my t/a soon.

Got mine at ThunderRacing...
It's black w/ "Z28" engraved on it. It's made by MBA so they're running low on supply, you should hurry. Look for the Auto shifter knobs w/ the tails. Very easy to replace your stock T-handle w/ and truley is more comfy.

Look on the front of the stock shifter handle, you will see a staple. Get a flat head screwdriver and you pry that staple out and then wiggle the stock shifter handle off. You have to have the conversion kit to run the aftermarket shifter as well. Originally Posted by Vertibird54

Quick question. Does it leave any treads visable when u put the new knob on or is it really clean? Dont exactly wanna do something unless it looks nice.
