    99 TA, full exhaust or cut outs?

    I was wondering what would be the best performance gain for the money. The car is currently stock when it comes to the engine, was wondering what would give me the best hp increase. Would buying the electronic exhaust cut outs give me the same amount of hp as the full SLP Loud Mouth exhaust would when the cut outs are run open? Or is there no difference in horsepower between just running cut outs or running a full exhaust? I can afford either one, or could do both also. But i had the idea that if the cut outs give me the same hp as the exhaust would, id rather have those to keep the stock appear and sound until i open them up and blow past people. Any suggestions or input would be great.

    IM having the exact same deliberation! One friend says cut outs and another says SLP LM1! I also like the idea of keeping the stock sound, then opening up for a monster sound, but then again the sound of the full exhaust is just as mean also.

    Do you plan on daily driving it?

    Yes, this is my daily driver car. Just bought it little over a month ago, i plan on putting other bolt ons into it as well. Was just curious which would give me more hp, and if it were the cut outs i could make it more of a sleeper so people wont be expecting such an ass wooping.

    Very true on the ass whooping! haha but i would say that open cut oouts would give the most HP gain, just because its straight from the headers! Another option would be a TRUE dual exhaust!!
