98 Firehawk question?
ok so i saw this old vid from motor trend tv from 98 it was about the firehawk , so im watchin this and i noticed the head lights they are projector beam lights, what i;m wondering is that if they actually came out like that for that year , or did it fall through i actually think it looks good?

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
cool visuals in that vid, always fun to see a pro vid of our cars. But damn, they lied about half that shit. An ls1 is an ls1 and will always come with about 345 BHP or 315+/- whp. Those headlights never made it to production. The cold air kit wasn't true either-it's the same set up as a stock t/a; just a taller ws.6 intake deck. I believe there was only 1 suspension option, bilstien shocks and SLP sway bars. The brakes on the hawk are the same on the firebird.

Navy Blue Metallic- `98 Formula M6 HdTp
I remember seeing that and all the Magazine Test articles on the `98 Hawks back then, it's too bad the exposed headlights didn't meet crash test standards cause I always liked that clean look. IIRC there were about 5 cars made the ones that weren't crushed were converted back to flip up lights and used as mules for `99

Black- 1998 Trans Am WS6 'Vert
+1 on the good looks of the fixed headlamps on the prototype '98 Hawks, I was waiting to get one on order, but when they announced I'd have to wait until '99 and it'd have the stock pop-up headlamps, I passed and went w/ a WS6 instead.
The airbox on a Firehawk isn't "raised" anymore than a stock (non-WS6) T/A or Formula. Only the WS6 got the raised airbox / upper radiator support.
I thought they made 8 prototype 'Hawks in '98.
