Well I plan on ordering a new Camaro when they become available. I WILL be getting whatever the most insaine package they offer is. I really don't even care about the cost all that much (To a point) If they offer the rumored ZL-1 package I think I would camp out in front of the Chevy dealership the night before to be sure I am first. The thought of an LS-9 just keeps me awake at night.

it will be an LS2 motor, I'd be very suprized if they slap in the LS7..
the Z06 has to sell for 3-4 more years to get their investment on that project

The same argument could have been used for the LS-1. It was only introduced into the Vette in 1997 and appeared in F Bodies in 1998. They just did things to slow it down so it wouldn't have the same HP rating as a Vette. Which as we all know are easily reverseable. They NEED the Camaro to be a complete success on all fronts...on the street, at the grocery store, picking up the kids, and on the strip. They need to dominate with this one or they are in HUGE trouble. They will put in at least an LS7 in them as a package, I would bet money the LS9 will also be an option. They have instant name recognition with gear heads with ZL-1...they will use it.

point taken... also GM underrated the LS1 98-02 motor to 305hp at the crank.
so that the vettes keep selling... in actuality the LS1 engines used are 345-350 to flywheel, the same one '04 GTO has. The ws6 (00-02) has Ls6 intake manifold which adds another 10-15hp.

The concept TA is a nice enough car although I think the back end looks a bit goofy. I love the pop up headlights of my fourth gen and I'd rather GM take a non-retro direction with bringing back the TA if they choose to do so...although I'd just as readily buy the concept TA if they released it, too...

Id like to see GM create someting totally new, somthing that dosent look cookie cutterish. Somting that looks mean enough with the balls to carry on the T/A, Camaro, or GTO name. It's gonna be 2007 not 1967!

There is the BEST idea I heard yet. And it could really work. They could base the car on one platform and simply have two differant skins. One retro- the Camaro and One "the super car"- the Firebird, Trans Am, Formula

I think the "super car" should have a really sloped roof line, like the 4th gens. They could even do this with a differant windshield and roof for each car.
