    Yes.. Camaro lovers buy as many as you can..I want to order my first "NEW" car... no more of this 2nd, 3rd, 4th..... EIGHTH! Ower bullshit.. I also want the Phonenix to fulfill it's namesake and be revived out of it's ashes. Popup headlights.. yes... curves.. yes.. dual exhaust..yes... big v-8.. yes... Not sure where I heard it.. but got it from somewhere that GM will no longer create a car with T-tops because of safety reasons??? Can anyone confirm or deny this? I would hate to see the F-bodies as only hardtops and Convertables...

    That makes no sense. If T-Tops were't safe, then they would be discontinuing convertables as well, because 'verts are much less "safe" than a car equipped with T-Tops.

    I believe the reason the new cars won't have T-Tops is inherent to the new design/chassis. The new Camaro's roof is long and narrow as compared to the old F-Bodies, so T-tops just wouldn't look right. Thats what the word is on it, anyway.

    Well.. all of GMs new vehicles are hardtop convertables... giving more stability than glass t-topss... so it made sense to me... but would still hate to lose them... as I have 3 with them.. and the 4th was just for the engine...

    The t-top design of the 4th gens did not compromise the structure of the car. The car was engineered from the start as a T-top.

    Those first ones look like rustangs. too freakin' angular, people have really lost their sense of style and are just following the crowd. I'll take a sleek, curvy supercar T/A (like my current '99) over one of those any day.

    Hey Joshua Grooms... where the hell did you get that pic of the silver T/A concept a few posts back? Now THAT is definitely something I would buy to replace my '99! Maybe a few minor tweaks on the front, but otherwise, it is AWESOME! (much better than the first ones posted in this thread, anyway) I'm drooling while imagining one in black...

    Do you know where to get a hi-res version of that thing?

    I really don't understand GM's thinking. They are LATE to the retro party.

    If it were me, I would have designed a new Camaro/ Trans AM around the vette power train for better weight distrubiton. And I would have the designed the body to look like a furtristic supersports car. These cars should look to the future, not the past.

    How about a hard top convertible Trans Am!!!!????

    In fact, if they could somehow pull off a hard top with the same profile as the non-vert... I would be in love.

    Sort of like they had depicted in the last season of Knight Rider when KITT turned into a convertible.

    I know.... I am asking a LOT there.

    Well what they could do is make it a 2 seater but the same size then you could retract the roof pretty easy. You could shorten the back hatch glass and make a larger sail panel or something like that.
