    4.10 if you plan on just bolt ons.

    Most will tell you it's not worth investing any money into the 10 bolt and I agree.

    I have 3.73s on my 00 ss M6. I feel no difference.
    I would go for 4.10s.

    Agreed I did stuff the cheap way on my previous car. Doing it right the first time this time around. I would love to just throw a set of 4.1s in the rear of my car but much rather save up and do a proper 9" or 12 bolt for peace of mind.

    I heard from someone who used to frequent this site that with their 4.10's, wish they went 4.30's. But, that wasn't on a stock rear or a stock motor.

    If you plan on putting sticky tires on the back, I really think you'll be wasting money with this investment.

    Stock 10 bolt - waste of money to change gears, unless the ones you have are trashed and you need to get rolling again. Going to 4.10s will only quicken the death of your diff.
    Upgrading the rear, then go with 4.10/4.11s. You won't regret it.

    Agreed with everyone. Fortunately when I bought the car, it being lowered and having 4.10s came with it. So I'm glad to have them and enjoy them very much. Granted, I only use SR's and can save up for my own 9"/12b. As far as the gear question is concerned, go 4.10s. But, if you wanna save money in the end, upgrade first. Your call.

    I bought a new Moser 12 bolt and went with 4.10's
    It's a helluva lot of fun. DOn't have to use first gear anymore, but when you do you get a nice quick jump from stop lights.
    My dad drove it and said it really woke the car up.

    I think 4.10 are abosultely perfect. I drove 220 miles highway yesterday going 75-80 the whole time with the AC on and got 22.8 MPG.

    75MPH = right at 2k RPM

    The extra puncha nd life is worth the couple mpg loss IMHO.

    Hope this helps

    Definitely agree. First gear isn't necessary to use, granted I still do. I usually just shift from 1st, to 2nd, to 4th lol. Regardless though, with 4.10s, on a 560mi trip from NY to OH, one of of my tanks of gas I got 27mpg going 75 the whole way. Swear. They're phenominal.
