350z vs WS6
I'll make it short and to the point:
I currently own a C5 Vette. I need to free up some cash so I'm going to be selling her for 25-26. I'd like to stash about half in the bank and spend 15-16k on a WS6 or a 350z.
I like each car for different reasons, however I have YET to drive either.
I love the TA cuz I'm used to the LS1 and enjoy the power of it. I like the 350z because it's a tad classier (no offense to you f-body folks).
I'm 23. I don't want to be pigeon-holed into a teenage racerboy car. Additionally, I do enjoy racing on the highway from time to time and enjoy tromping on the throttle on occcasion.
Trying to decide. Anyone here own both and can drop some knowledge on my dumbass?

both are great cars- we have one of each. the z is really fun for corners, kinda like driving a go cart. the ta is more fun for the power.

+1 for the TA
If you are leaning towards a 350Z, you may as well get a G35 Coupe... much classier and basically the same car (but slightly better) for the same money.

Pewter- 2002 T/A WS6
350Zs are really nice, I especially like the NISMO packaged ones, but you'd pay a pretty penny for that compared to a T/A. WS6's look more exotic and classy than a 350 to me though - pop up headlights, t-tops, hood scoops, etc. 350 is kinda plain but looks nice. You aren't looking for a race car really, but T/As are a bit faster for the kind of thing you'd want to do (stepping on it once in a while, passing etc.). You are already used to a V8 I think you'd feel out of place or 'homesick' with the 6. T/As get a lot more looks too... sexy cars!

Hmm coming onto an LS1 website and asking what to get an LS1 or a 350z? Kinda depends whats ur taste, personally I would go for the trans am. But thats becasue I love american muscle and I am not scared to take tight turns with the LS1 altho it would be much easier and safer with the 350Z. just my 2 cent

Pewter Metallic- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6 D1SC
yeah, asking if you should get an LS1 on the LS1 forum of course everyone's gonna say go for it. Same goes if you go to a 350Z forum or something like that.
Your best bet would be to go test drive both and make the decision for yourself.
Any way i would definitely go with the WS6, haha. Those NISMO 350Zs are too though. Definitely try to test one of those out.

If you want to go kinda fast and take easy turns go with the 350z.

I was in the same spot as you. I almost bought a 350z at one point instead of my WS6. Trust me, I drove a 350 and was like...this is cute. I got in the WS6 and my reaction was that this is a mans car. Get the WS6 or you'll regret it.

Red- 2000 Trans Am
Hey man you cant really ask that question on this site lol, i would take my T/A over a ls1 vette any day, i think trans ams look better than the ls1 vettes and i see more vettes around here then i do Trans Ams. As for the 350z it makes no torque, have fun being bored everytime you hit the gas.

Lol I dont like trouble, but people tend to say stupid things and then i make fun of them. As for the vette thing, sorry man i just think T/As are the best looking ls1 cars. Which is why i bought one i had the chance to get a ls1 vette for 18k with 45kmiles on it but i really like having a back seat not to mention the T/A just looks soo mean to me. I have wanted one since i was 15.

haha i'm a girl and i drive a ws6 and my dad has a 350z, but yea you do see a lot more girls driving the 350s.
I would definately take my ws6 over the z, but you wont be bored in z- it is a fun car.
Ours is just for a toy while we have other ones for the going fast part.Last edited by Randi820; 10-18-2007 at 11:03 AM.

I would be, unless i modded it, if you like to be put back in your seat this is not the car for you, my uncle has the G35 with 300hp same car as the 350 and it had good power but you never felt like it was tearing ass down the street. If you know what i mean, its missing that awesome american trademark, TORQUE. I have seen bone stock WS6s take bone stock ls1 vettes, no 350 is gonna come close to that, i ran a 12.8 with 3 bolt ons.
