Your t/a should trap a higher mph. But in a street race it should be close. Probably be driver outcome.

A shelby GT already has a better tune and a cold air kit from the factory. They also have a lot of suspension work done to them. My brother has a 08 stock Shelby GT, I have raced him a few times and I have beat him by several car lenghts each time.

You can add the '10 Stangs to the list. They have the same setup in then as my Bullitt. So I think you can make that pony

Wow it took Mustang about 10 years to catch-up?!
I guess the only reason 2011 Mustang finally surpasses is because the new Camaro was so far ahead.

I beat a 2006 GT pretty bad with my 98 (only slight bolt on mods - ls6 intake, pacesetter lth w/ off road y-pipe. Could have been the pimple faced kid driver though. I slammed through the gears pretty good and had the lead the whole way til I called it off around 115 mph. - Drivers equal, I say the ls1 wins.

Ever hear of the mach 1 or cobra? Same price as a ws6 or ss and they are mustangs. It just took them this long to get the GT to catch up

    why? 2003 cobra msrp 33,460. Invoice 30,839.00

    2002 ws6 msrp 32,095.00, invoice 29,367.00

1300 difference and im sorry but the termi was a better car and well worth 1300 more

The ws6 imo has better looks and a better engine plaform if you want to go big. But if you want a 400-700whp car that is just as streetable as they the day it was stock then a 03/04 cobra is damn hard to beat.

^ troof ....they are nasty cars ..and shows that FI on the right platform is amazing. however..i dont like the placement of the shifter...even tho that really has nothing to do with the engine platform etc.

Why do you think the ls1 has the better engine platform? Displacement advantage? Just wondering.

Yes, the displacement, also coming with live axle from factory is nice for drag racers.
