Funny, the air must be really thin here at sea level, I watch 'em every weekend running 14.7 to 15.0.

They cant drive then because at sea lelvel a 05-10 stang can go 13.4s with a good driver

I can't add much to this but I will say I spend a lot of time out at the great lakes dragaway any have never seen a stock gt run a 13.4, rarely see them break into the 13's. you would think they run 13’s all day.

It is rare that they run lower 13s but i have seen a few run 13.7-13.9 at great lakes. And a m6 f-body bone stock is pretty close to those times a little faster but .3 is just one little mistake away from losing. Like i said before its all about drivers.

I'd have to agree. Most of these gen Mustangs are rarely in the 13s at the track. Usually somewhere near 101 MPH.

Got the 3.23 ratio (GU5) with limited slip (G80), is that the one you're thinking?

Yes, the GU5 will give you more off the line. If you got good shoes you should win easily.

I raced a 2006 with a cat back in our 96 T/A. Its a stock LT1 aside from having the ls1 air box and electric water pump. I beat him 3 times in a row due to my driver mod. The 4th race he pulled pretty hard after I was in 2nd. I think the ls1 would have beat him though. But not the same Mustang just my only experience

I also own a 2008 Bullitt. The best I've run is 13.84@102. The Bullitt has 315Hp were a stock 05-09 GT only has 300 HP. Rear gears for GT are 3.31 Optional 3.55. Bullitt has 3.73, I had a 07 GTCS Basically a GT best I could do with it was a 14.25@99. So I think you'll have him beat!

I owned a 07 GT and currently have a 00 WS6 A4. To make it a competitive race the GT will need a cold air kit, a tune, pulley and gears. My 00 WS6 ran 13.5s stock and with a tune and a few bolt ons it ran 13.03 @ 107. My nephew has a 07 GT with the mods I mentioned and my car pulls away from him easily.

I have a 00 ws6 lower control arms alum driveshaft borla catback and raced my buddies 08 shelby gt barret jackson edition and took him by 1 car length so... even in stock form I think you have a pretty good chance. As long as your the better driver.
